- Tulsi Vivah is performed from Prabodhini Ekadashi (11th day of Shukla Paksha in Kartik month) to Kartik Purnima.
- It is generally observed on Ekadashi, Dwadashi, or Purnima (varies by region).
- The evening time is considered ideal for performing the ceremony.
Tulsi Vivah Puja Vidhi (Procedure)
- Ganesh Kalash Puja – The puja starts by invoking Lord Ganesha and setting up the Kalash.
- Shaligram Vishnu Puja – A sacred Shaligram stone, representing Lord Vishnu, is placed.
- Tulsi Devi Puja – The Tulsi plant is decorated as a bride with kumkum, turmeric, flowers, and saree.
- Mangalashtak Mantra Recitation – Sacred wedding mantras are chanted to perform the divine wedding.
- Vivah Kanyadaan – Tulsi Devi is given away as a bride to Lord Vishnu.
- Mangal Aarti & Prasad Distribution – The puja concludes with Aarti and Prasad offering to devotees.
